From Goose Island to Revolution Brewing, Chicago certainly isn’t lacking when it comes to craft breweries. The best of the best will be on hand for the 2019 Chicago Bacon and Beer Classic, a popular local event that’s now in its fifth year. It draws the top local breweries to Soldier Field every year at the beginning of October—this year, it’s slated for October 12th.

From 1 to 5 p.m., attendees will have the chance to taste-test more than 100 craft beers from said breweries. They’ll all pair perfectly with the 30-plus bacon dishes that local chefs will serve up for the festival. Once you’re done sipping and noshing—or when you just need a brief break—ride the bacon-inspired seesaw, play a game of cornhole, or dance to tunes spun by a local DJ. Tickets start at $45.
