Carnivores, Rejoice! Bazaar Meat Has Landed in the Loop

A taste of Beverly Hills comes to the Loop thanks to Jose Andres and Bazaar Meat. With roots on the West Coast, this swanky eatery pays homage to the original location by including many of the most popular meat-centric tapas from the Beverly Hills outpost on its menu. They’re part of an innovative roster of dishes that includes both “traditional” and “modern” categories.

You’ll definitely want to make a reservation to secure your table at this buzzworthy new restaurant. Start with a few smaller “snacks,” such as the bagel and lox cone stuffed with dill cream cheese and salmon roe or Jose’s taco stuffed with Jamon Iberico Osetra caviar, nori, and embellished with real gold leaf. Then share a few of the traditional tapas with your dining companion, perhaps the seared scallops with Romesco sauce and Marcona almonds and the papas Canarias, salty, crispy potatoes smothered with mojo verde and mojo rojo. For a few “modern” plates, order a round of the cauliflower couscous with puffed quinoa and Harissa broth, the oysters seasoned with citrus and yuzu-infused air, and the Lombardo beef tartare. Then taste your way through an array of Japanese Wagyu and Kobe beef cuts, Amish chicken thighs, Catalan-style pork sausage, and much more.
