Ciccio Mio is a newly opened restaurant in Chicago’s near north side, serving classic Italian fare in a luxuriously nostalgic dining room. When you arrive you’ll find yourself surrounded by tapestry-covered wood paneling, ornate antique mirrors, and vintage copper coffee urns. Deep booths are upholstered in velvet, and each table is topped with a miniature lamp that throws off just enough light to create an intimate, cozy atmosphere that makes any meal feel like you’re celebrating a special occasion. 

The menu features traditional dishes, like lasagna bolognese, chicken parmesan, and shrimp scampi, as well as a variety of modern, handcrafted cocktails (Yelpers recommend the "tuxedo #1" which combines gin, sherry, and orange bitters). Reservations are not required, but are strongly recommended, as this place has become very popular very quickly, and fills to capacity most evenings. Most dishes can be prepared gluten-free upon request.
