Order a Meal Kit From Oriole

Regulars at Oriole say that finding this Chicago restaurant is half the fun. It’s hidden down a little alley in the West Loop neighborhood, and if you aren’t specifically looking for this place, it’s easy to completely miss it. But since Oriole has two Michelin stars and is AAA 5 Diamond rated, you’ll definitely want to keep your eyes peeled.

The restaurant offers a single dining option: an extended tasting menu that is presided over by executive chef and owner Noah Sandoval. The menu changes according to what’s seasonally fresh, of course, but it typically includes 10-12 modest courses, ranging from starters like fluke with saffron and Japanese milk bread to entrees like quail pot pie and boeuf bourguignon. You can also add a wine pairing to your meal, curated by the restaurant’s sommelier Aaron McManus. Choose the standard pairing, or spring for the “reserve” pairing to try some older vintages produced by some of the world’s most respected winemakers.
